











The magnificent building, housing the LTV, is now a beauty to behold, courtesy an ambitious plan of the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration to completely turn around the 41-year-old television station.
The first phase of the turnaround plan was the infrastructure revamp, which entails modernization of the entire complex and its infrastructure.
The TV station has now become the toast of Lagosians because of the improved quality of its production. The studios have been remodeled into fantastic structures that can now serve many purposes. The Control Room is equally now in a better shape.
Buoyed by the new lease of life offered the Station by the Sanwo-Olu administration, the leadership of LTVhave evolved strategies that have led to efficiency, growth and innovation, which have ultimately helped in shaping the Station’s new outlook.
Today, while the station has not abdicated its responsibility of informing and educating the people, the large percentage devoted to entertainment has charmed larger population of Lagos to it.
With inspirational leadership comes positive change, which has influenced fashion style, makeup artist and everything that has to do with the corporate image of the broadcast station. Scripts are being monitored, while new software are being used to help enrich and embellish programmes.
With its new improved outlook, LTV has been able to sustain its image as the Voice of Lagos. It has also been able to project the government in good light by being an efficient government mouthpiece. There was a time when the Station was not on DSTV. That has changed as it is currently on different platforms, including Live Streaming.
Conscious of the diversity of its viewership and the cosmopolitan nature of Lagos, LTV broadcasts in different indigenous languages. It has programmes in Yoruba, Ogu and Igbo programmes and Pidgin. It also uses sign language its reporting.
In order to effectively reach the grassroots, LTV’s reporters are stationed across the five divisions of the State, covering the government’s activities in the various communities.
Thanks to its new improved status, the Station hasreceived commendations from far and near.
LTV is key in the spreading of the THEMES agenda of the current administration to the nooks and crannies of the State.
With the current trend in the Station, the future looks brighter.
